Call for Posters for Southwest Virginia Life Science Forum
You’re invited to participate in the upcoming Southwest Virginia Life Science Forum. The forum is scheduled on Wednesday, October 24 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the atrium of the Virginia Tech Integrated Life Science Building. The Roanoke-Blacksburg region is rapidly growing its science and technology companies, yet there are relatively few venues that bring together the people from companies and regional colleges and universities working in the same fields. Last year over 120 people came to present posters, learn about the industry, new discoveries and enjoy an evening of collaboration.
This will be the sixth annual Southwest Virginia Life Science Forum, designed to showcase exciting science in the New River and Roanoke Valley areas and meld it with social networking. There will be appetizers and a bar sponsored by local organizations along with a poster session organized by representatives of academic, industry, and non-profit technology organizations. The event is free to attend, and there is plenty of parking available on site. Tours of ILSB will be available throughout the evening. The event is co-hosted by Virginia Bio and the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council (RBTC).
