Committees
Wondering how to take full advantage of your membership in VaBIO? How about getting to know your colleagues by joining one of our committees? Committees meet about three times a year, either by conference call or in person. Anyone from a member company is welcomed to participate.
Topics
- Government Affairs: This committee focuses on public policy issues facing the biosciences at the state and federal level. Members work to educate policy makers about the industry and the significant impact it has on Virginia.
- Education and the Workforce: Members direct initiatives to enhance science education, workforce training and certification programs. The committee works closely with community colleges and institutions of higher education.
- Membership: This committee focuses on building relationships with VaBIO member companies, identifying needs and delivering new programs and services. It is a great way to meet new people and help the industry grow.
- Programs: The VaBIO Programs committee directs the many networking activities that take place across the state each year. Help plan new events and meet new clients while you are at it!
