Five Companies Awarded Internship Grants
Five companies were recently awarded internship grants by the Chesapeake Bioscience Education Foundation (C-BEF), an initiative of the Virginia Biotechnology Association (VaBIO). Internships grants were awarded as matching funds for summer interns to the following companies: Castle Technologies, CW Optics, Lyotropic Therapeutics, Metabiomics and Venebio Group.
The companies submitted applications, and selection was based upon the quality of the proposed internship experience. The interns must be enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Virginia institution of higher education or be a resident of the Commonwealth.
“The Chesapeake Bioscience Education Foundation is a strong supporter of projects which encourage students of the life sciences to enhance their academics with related work experience,” said Martin Chapman, Chairman of the C-BEF Board, and CEO of Indoor Biotechnologies.
